Now Hiring: Senior Account Manager

The Position:

Criterion Global is a fast-expanding international media planning and buying agency currently seeking a Senior Account Manager to lead paid media investment for strategic accounts in luxury, travel and hospitality.

In this role, the Senior Account Manager displays independent thinking in innovating for media campaigns – advancing the goals of our clients and our firm.

If you know paid media, and are looking to lead, this role is for you.
If you’re looking for big agency bureaucracy, this role is not for you.

This full time position is based in NYC, with travel as needed to our Miami offices or client sites. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Required Experience

Min. of 3-5 years:

  • Managing paid media investment, including:
    • Deep digital knowledge (Google, Facebook, certifications preferred, and DCM/Dart)
    • Knowledge of other media, including print, OOH, TV/video, and radio.
    • Campaign budget management accountability
    • Planning and execution of media programs, including negotiations and reconciliation
  • Demonstrable Client Account Leadership + Strategic Thinking.
  • Fundamentals of reporting and/or charting/dashboard tools (DCM/Dart, Google Data Studio, Adobe Analytics / Omniture).
  • Travel / Hospitality category experience is preferred, which may include knowledge of travel ad tech, including search & metasearch, the OTA ecosystem, travel ads on social, Google Travel Search Ads, etc.

Minimum/required experience refers to years direct, full time experience specific to this role, not total years work experience.

Bonus Qualification: Fluency (written + spoken) in a non-English language. 


Senior Account Manager duties center on client management. Specifically:

  • Ensure client campaign success and manage relationships
  • Continuing development of innovative travel media strategy.
  • Deliver ongoing analyses of client reporting (usually monthly) to ensure tactics are aligned with client strategy/objectives.
  • Participation in new client business pitches, which may include developing thought leadership and insights.


Success Criteria:

  • You navigate complicated/ambiguous media buying challenges to find answers and actionable solutions for clients.
  • You proactively identify strategic opportunities for client campaigns.
  • You can to translate a client’s request into an approach to move forward
  • You have quantitative skills and a deliberate organizational process and can “tell a story” through data.
  • You have a proven ability to work independently, handling multiple priorities with confidence.
  • You look to find the reason why something happened; and keep working to define what should happen going forward.
  • BONUS: Business fluency in a non-English language (optional)
  • ADDITIONAL TECHNOLOGY:  Excel, Google Docs, Powerpoint, Keynote, social media platforms, email, plus ability and interest to learn new technology.
