This Role
The APAC Business Development Specialist plays a critical role in expanding Criterion Global’s footprint across Singapore and the broader Asia-Pacific region. This position is responsible for originating, shaping, and converting new client opportunities with both in-market and inbound brands seeking an independent, globally capable media partner.
This role goes beyond traditional sales. It requires strategic fluency, commercial intuition, and credibility with senior marketers and founders who are navigating growth in complex, multi-market environments.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across Singapore and priority APAC markets
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline of high-potential prospects and partners
- Lead early-stage discovery conversations with senior marketing and business leaders
- Clearly position Criterion Global’s independent, agile global model
- Collaborate with leadership and strategy teams to scope opportunities and proposals
- Support pitch processes, credentialing, and selective RFP responses
- Develop relationships with trade bodies, export organizations, investment groups, and advisors
- Maintain disciplined pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting
- Represent Criterion Global professionally in market meetings and regional forums
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial roles within media, marketing, consulting, or professional services
- Strong understanding of paid media, brand advertising, and international growth dynamics
- Demonstrated success engaging senior stakeholders (CMO, VP Marketing, Founders, PE-backed leadership)
- Familiarity with APAC markets and cross-border commercial considerations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly self-directed, commercially minded, and comfortable with ambiguity
- Ability to operate effectively in a contract, performance-oriented role
- Singapore-based strongly preferred

Compensation, Payment & Contractor Status

All engagements are offered on an independent contractor basis only and do not create an employment, partnership, or agency relationship. Compensation information is requested for planning and evaluation purposes and is non-binding; final terms will be subject to mutual agreement, defined scope, availability, jurisdictional and tax requirements. Where applicable, payments to international contractors may be made in the agreed local currency or USD, with any foreign exchange conversion handled at prevailing market rates through the Company’s designated payment provider.
