This Role
At this stage in our continued growth, we are seeking a senior Digital Strategy Director to lead and scale full-funnel digital media buying for an independent agency focused on global growth across B2B, hospitality, HNWI and multiple markets and client verticals. This role has direct responsibility for how digital media is planned, executed, measured, and commercialized across the firm.
The Digital Strategy Director will be accountable not only for media performance, but also for fulfillment discipline and scalable operating standards—ensuring digital media drives client growth while supporting the agency’s broader financial and expansion objectives.
The role may be hybrid; however, EST or GMT time zones are strongly preferred.
Role Mandate
This is a leadership role for an individual who understands how full-funnel media investment translates into business outcomes—for clients and for the agency. You will set the bar for the organization’s digital ad buying, balancing strategic vision with executional rigor and financial accountability.
Core Responsibilities
Digital Strategy & Operating Leadership
- Lead the agency’s full-funnel digital media buying strategy, ensuring strong integration across brand, consideration, and performance channels.
- Define and implement scalable digital operating standards that support growth, consistency, and predictability.
- Partner with leadership on digital capability expansion, investment priorities, and operational efficiency.
Media Buying & Platform Governance
- Lead full-funnel digital buying across CM360, DV360, Amazon DSP, TTD, Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, Reddit, and various other platforms.
- Establish best-in-class frameworks for account structure, budget allocation, pacing, bidding, and optimization.
- Ensure rigorous trafficking, tagging, and measurement discipline across platforms and markets
Performance, Measurement & Reporting
- Set KPI frameworks tied to commercial outcomes for clients, not just platform metrics.
- Ensure reporting is clear, defensible, and decision-ready for senior client stakeholders.
- Oversee attribution, incrementality, and performance evaluation methodologies in partnership with analytics teams.
Team, Talent & Vendor Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and scale digital teams and contractors across regions.
- Act as senior escalation point for performance issues, platform challenges, and client concerns.
- Manage senior relationships with platform partners and technology vendors.
Client Partnership & Global Execution
- Serve as a senior digital advisor to key accounts, particularly complex, multi-market clients.
- Oversee multilingual and multi-country campaigns, ensuring consistency of strategy and measurement across regions.
- Translate complex performance results into confident, commercially grounded client guidance.
Revenue & Accountability
- Ensure scopes are appropriately structured and staffed to support profitability.
- Support pricing, scoping, and growth conversations with clients, including expansions and renewals.
- Identify opportunities to scale digital revenue through improved efficiency, tooling, and operating leverage.
- Own digital revenue performance, including forecasting, utilization, and delivery.
Required Experience & Profile
- 8+ years of experience in digital media buying and performance marketing, ideally within a growth-oriented or independent agency.
- Deep hands-on expertise across full-funnel digital media with advanced proficiency with CM360, DV360 Meta, Google Ads, and the other tools of a well rounded digital media practice.
- Strong understanding of digital measurement, attribution, and incrementality.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams while maintaining executional credibility.
- Business-level fluency in English mandatory; Business-level fluency in <1 non-English language strongly preferred, given the agency’s multi-market and multilingual client base.
