Criterion Global

Performance Media Manager – Travel & Hotel (Multi-Property)

About Criterion Global

Criterion Global is a rare independent international media strategy and buying agency, built to deliver growth for brands operating in the new global economy. We help ambitious companies expand across borders with agility, discipline, and real in-market expertise—without the constraints or incentives of holding-company networks.

Our work is grounded in rigorous thinking and deep collaboration. Every engagement is supported by best-in-class global paid media, analytics, and strategy teams. Individual ownership matters, but no one at Criterion Global works alone.

This Role

The Performance Media Manager – Travel & Hospitality will manage and optimize full-funnel paid media across a portfolio of closely related hotel and travel brands, representing approximately 17 properties across four interlinked accounts.

Aligned with GMT / EST working hours, this role is highly executional and performance-driven. It requires comfort with complex account structures, strong analytical discipline, and the ability to translate performance data into clear, confidence-building narratives for U.S.-based client stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how travel and hospitality performance actually works—seasonality, demand curves, booking windows, creative fatigue, and the realities of optimizing for revenue, not just clicks.

Core Responsibilities

  • Execute and optimize full-funnel paid media campaigns across a multi-property travel and hospitality portfolio
  • Manage complex account structures spanning multiple properties, markets, and objectives
  • Activate and optimize across key platforms (search, paid social, video, programmatic as applicable)
  • Monitor performance against core hospitality KPIs (e.g., bookings, revenue, ROAS, CPA, demand capture)
  • Apply analytical rigor to pacing, budget allocation, and performance diagnosis
  • Collaborate closely with Criterion Global’s global performance, analytics, and strategy teams
  • Coordinate effectively with U.S.-based client stakeholders across EST time zones
  • Produce clear, market-leading reporting that explains results, tradeoffs, and improvement opportunities
  • Translate performance data into client-ready insights that build trust and confidence
  • Maintain high operational standards across trafficking, QA, billing accuracy, and reconciliation

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing performance media for travel, hospitality, or multi-location brands
  • Strong hands-on expertise across major paid media platforms
  • Comfort managing multiple interrelated accounts and property-level performance views
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to move from data to narrative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience collaborating with global teams and U.S.-based clients
  • Ability to work effectively in GMT / EST-aligned hours
  • Highly detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable in a contract-based role

What Success Looks Like

  • Media performance improves measurably across properties over time
  • Reporting is clear, credible, and confidence-building for client stakeholders
  • Complex account structures are managed cleanly and efficiently
  • Global teams trust you as a dependable, high-quality execution partner
  • Travel and hospitality dynamics are reflected accurately in media decisions

What We Offer

  • Ongoing contract engagement with long-term stability
  • High-impact work across a sophisticated travel and hospitality portfolio
  • Daily collaboration with best-in-class global paid media and analytics teams
  • Clear standards, strong internal support, and shared accountability

Compensation, Payment & Contractor Status

To support an efficient and transparent review process, applicants are asked to briefly describe their preferred compensation structure (e.g., hourly, daily, project-based, or retainer) and their proposed rate or fee range, including currency. All engagements are offered on an independent contractor basis only and do not create an employment, partnership, or agency relationship. Compensation information is requested for planning and evaluation purposes and is non-binding; final terms will be subject to mutual agreement, defined scope, availability, jurisdictional and tax requirements. Where applicable, payments to international contractors may be made in the agreed local currency or USD, with any foreign exchange conversion handled at prevailing market rates through the Company’s designated payment provider.
