This Role

The TV (CTV + Broadcast) Media Buyer / Supervisor for DACH will lead video investment strategy and execution across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, managing high-value broadcast and connected TV budgets in one of Europe’s most complex and premium TV markets.

This role requires deep understanding of broadcaster economics, inventory quality, audience delivery, and negotiation dynamics across both traditional TV and modern streaming environments. You will work closely with Criterion Global’s global video, strategy, and analytics teams, contributing DACH-specific expertise while benefiting from shared frameworks, senior collaboration, and cross-market insight.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, buying, and optimization of TV and CTV campaigns across DACH markets
  • Manage relationships with broadcasters, streaming platforms, and premium video publishers
  • Evaluate inventory quality, audience delivery, pricing structures, and value tradeoffs across markets
  • Develop defensible investment strategies tailored to each DACH market’s media structure
  • Collaborate with global video, digital, and analytics teams to align cross-channel video strategy
  • Oversee campaign pacing, delivery, and performance measurement
  • Ensure clean trafficking, QA, and post-campaign reconciliation
  • Produce clear, executive-ready reporting explaining outcomes, tradeoffs, and learning
  • Identify opportunities for improved buying efficiency, smarter allocation, and stronger negotiation leverage

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven experience buying and supervising TV and/or CTV campaigns in DACH markets
  • Strong understanding of broadcaster ecosystems, audience measurement, and inventory economics
  • Experience working across both linear TV and streaming / addressable environments
  • Ability to articulate and defend investment decisions grounded in market realities
  • Multilingual capability preferred; English fluency required for global collaboration
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable
  • Comfortable operating in a contract-based role while embedded in a collaborative team structure
  • Bonus: experience supporting international brands or multi-market video strategies

Compensation, Payment & Contractor Status

To support an efficient and transparent review process, applicants are asked to briefly describe their preferred compensation structure (e.g., hourly, daily, project-based, or retainer) and their proposed rate or fee range, including currency. All engagements are offered on an independent contractor basis only and do not create an employment, partnership, or agency relationship. Compensation information is requested for planning and evaluation purposes and is non-binding; final terms will be subject to mutual agreement, defined scope, availability, jurisdictional and tax requirements. Where applicable, payments to international contractors may be made in the agreed local currency or USD, with any foreign exchange conversion handled at prevailing market rates through the Company’s designated payment provider.
